Amos and I made my first pie today!!  We went to the farmer's market on Thursday, the first one this year, and basically all that was there were greens (which we have a hefty stash of already), rhubarb, some berries, and a ton of baked goods.  One of the best things about this area is that rhubarb grows well here.  Strawberry rhubarb pie is my favorite, and it's harder to come by down south than say pecan pie.  So, we (by "we" I mean the baby, my cravings, and I) decided to make a pie.  The only problem was that I have never made a pie from scratch before, and I can barely boil water.

In comes the uber-talented husband!  Amos helped me out, and we came up with this delicious tart made in our very own tart pan courtesy of my mom a Christmas or two ago.  This is the first time we've used both the recipe we kind of half made up and the pan, so I'm all excited!  I'm taking it to work to share tonight, because you know Hazel and I could finish that off in about half an hour.
