Knitting Mishaps…

I guess when you do something enough, no matter how long you’ve been doing it, you’re bound to make some mistakes.

Yes, these are huge.  And weird.  And very, very long.  And in the trash now!  There’s just no saving them.  I’m not sure if you can tell, but they are about 3″ below my wrist.  They’re almost like sleeves instead of mitts.  I had some issues with this pattern, but I also have never made anything for hands before, so it’s a tie!

  1. When I royally jack up a pattern I just throw them back in my stash and unravel them later so I can use the yarn again!

  2. Nick’s little sister would LOVE these. She has a bunch of fingerless gloves that she wears while playing guitar and video games. I don’t think they actually keep her warm, I think it is a style thing, but for whatever reason she loves them.

    • Here is the pattern link (you may have to be a member of ravelry to see it, but it’s a cool website you should join anyway!!). Just know that they turn out HUGE. My hands were positively swimming in them, which was my main complaint aside from the pattern being weirdly and confusingly written.
